The important improvements that these capture cards offer is up to 4K 144Hz HDR VRR pass-through, which is a big deal for streamers who want to play their games at high resolutions and framerates when they are streaming. On the external side, AVerMedia are also revealing their new Live Gamer Ultra 2.1 (GC553G2) capture card, which appears to feature RGB illumination and will also feature HDMI 2.1 In and HDMI 2.1 Out connections. This capture card will be AVerMedia's new flagship capture card, and it looks like this capture card may feature some for or LED illumination. Starting off at the high-end we have the Live Game 4K 2.1 (GC575), which will be a slim PCIe capture card that features an HDMI In and an HDMI Out connection. Before now, they were limited to 4K at 60Hz when using HDMI 2.0 capture devices, but thanks to these new capture devices high framerate 4K pass-through is now possible. That said, most streamers are not interested in streaming that much visual data, they are interested in being able to play games at 4K 120Hz or 4K 144Hz while capturing and streaming their gameplay.

Sadly, neither of these capture cards can capture 4K 144Hz HDR content, with both devices being limited to capturing 4K at 60Hz, or 1080p at 240Hz.
